Our Kalahari Theme
As you may have noticed, we embedded the Kalahari theme into our website.
So why the Kalahari theme? The Kalahari is a complex, raw, semi-desert region, with vast spaces of diverse beauty, known for its short seasons of bountiful rain to dry and cold winter months. It is an area not for the faint-hearted and requires will, good insight and an appreciation for the hidden beauty it holds, to survive. It can surprise you with expansive sights of small dams created by unique Kalahari thunderstorms, or it can envelop you in a blanket of bone-cutting cold. What remains a constant, is its absolute raw beauty.
This raw beauty represents a big part of Go Colour. The raw wood pallets have a hidden beauty (such as the Kalahari), only revealed once it is carefully shaped and treated to become the proud creation it was meant to be. Our customers see this and for this reason, the Kalahari theme runs through our portal to you.

Where it started
This was an evolutionary journey, starting off creating practical, wooden products, for everyday use to creating new designs and fulfilling larger, more specialised requirements.
Initially, it started off with an idea, borne from own, family and friends’ love for picnics and travel. Instead of often being confined to drinking cooldrink, water or wine from plastic or foam cups when camping or travelling, a sample of elegant wooden boxes, which contain glasses safely packed, was produced. It later grew to wooden boxes catering for Champagne flutes, beer glasses and different sizes wine glasses. This production was halted after most of the products have been sold and the demand for additional products grew, namely crates and utility boxes, based on customised requirements.
Go Colour is Born
The start of the journey was a slow and tentative process, whilst still working fulltime. Circumstances changed and the need to focus fulltime on the business started.
As things progressed, our paths crossed with a large, niche, passionate furniture and homeware company, which gave this small outfit an opportunity to register as one of their suppliers. It was time to start a company and because of the love of colour, GO-COLOUR was borne. The new company was registered in March 2018. GO-COLOUR Pallet Creations!.
Social Upliftment
The company is constantly evolving, initially starting with small items to currently producing larger furniture items and kitchen cupboards.
The business grew from a one-women outfit (designing, cutting, assembling and painting) to a business giving opportunities to several workers, all previously unemployed. Apart from own changing circumstances, the idea was always to contribute in some way to reduce unemployment and make a positive contribution to social upliftment.
Initial training is provided, until the products can be produced independently. Stringent quality checks are done, before the product is ready to be released.
